I covered Cool Pinks earlier, now here's my favorite brown toned nudes.
And just what is my definition of Very Pale Skin? I am around NC10, MAC Matchmaster 1.0 is a very good match, for spot concealing on my face Amazing Cosmetics concealer in Fair (except that it made me break out like nobody's business) and MAKE UP FOR EVER Full Cover concealer in #1 are near perfect.
One thing I found tough when shopping for lipsticks was how different it may be on my skintone compared to others. What might be nude or light on my favorite blogger, it's medium toned and slightly dark or too bright and bold. There's certainly room for deeper, brighter, bolder lips - but I usually focus on eyes and the lips are just a complement. So here's what I found works for my skintone and coloring as an "everyday" light to mid-tone lipsticks!
Here's my bare lips for reference. I have quite a few lip freckles, so it's easy to determine what level of coverage a lip color has.
Maybelline Colorsensational Nearly There is a peach brown with small silver (?) shimmer. It's more of a traditional lipstick texture compared to the rest of my items, more pigmentation with less slip and potential for gloppiness. It's not frosty, but the shimmer gives a good dimension to the lips.
Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee is sheer caramel tone with small warm shimmer of some sort. It's not too thick, quite glossy finish that can be built up a bit without getting too messy.
L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse in Sheer Linen is from a relatively new line, it's more similar to Revlon's Colorburst Lip Butters than the other line of Balms from L'Oreal. More pigmentation (than the Balms) but plenty of slip. The texture is thinner than Lip Butters (which helps in building up color) but pigmentation does seem to vary with shade, Sheer Linen is a warm light brown toned nude that is, oddly enough, somewhat sheer.
Last up in my brown nudes, MAC Sheen Supreme Can't Get Enough. As you can see from the swatches on my arm above, it can be a little too soft and layer too much product on. It's more pigmented than the previous two, feels fairly moisturizing and I do like the sweet vanilla scent MAC lip products have to be honest! It's a peachy brown nude with small silver shimmer.
